Last week, the Heartland FFA attended the Nebraska State Convention in Lincoln. Here are some highlights they posted on Facebook.

Here are a few of the awards they brought home! This year, the Heartland FFA is combining its auction and awards ceremony into one event. Please make plans to support their chapter on April 16! See the poster below for more information.

Our first day of convention is over. Emma gave her Sr. Speech, Ag Mechanics, and Farm Management Competitions. We were able to catch National Officer Claire Woepple’s session, a couple of leadership workshops, and cheer on fellow Bearcat Brayden Wolinski in the finals for Natural Resources Speech! Finally, we finished off the day with our State Degree Ceremony! Busy day!

Day 2 has started! Food science and welding teams are competing now!

We received recognition for being a Nebraska Farm Bureau Connecting Chapter Program, received a superior rating for our National Chapter app that our VPs wrote, and competed in Food Science, Welding, and Agriscience!

Emma is a top-10 individual in food science, and Landon was a top-10 individual in MIG welding. We attended a leadership workshop and observed Parli Pro finals. Also, we got to hear our own Braden sing in the choir! Then we cheered on the Huskers and our fellow Bearcats (Brayden and Noah)! Lessons were learned today, and experiences were made!

That’s a wrap on this year’s convention!!! Today we learned that Emma received a silver medal for her senior prepared speech! Emma and Landon were both awarded for being a top 10 individual in their contests (food science and MIG welding)!!! And we even had a chance to get a little dirty with our National Land Judging team! (T minus 40 days until Oklahoma!)

Senior Emma Ott received silver on her prepared speech, and Noah Miller from Hampton gave a speech- courtesy photos From March 25th through March 27th, the blue corduroy jackets stormed the Lincoln, Nebraska
