The Henderson Health Care Foundation celebrated another year of GOLF: Growing Our Legacy by Faith, at Galaway Creek Golf Course in Henderson, Nebraska. On August 14th, 20 teams gathered with enthusiasm and camaraderie, helping raise $18,745 to benefit the Foundation’s ongoing mission to support Henderson Health Care.
The event featured spirited competition and fun activities throughout the course. Highlights included:
- Championship Flight Winner: John Goertzen and his team claimed top honors in the championship bracket.
- Putting Contest Champion: Barry Redfern showcased steady hands and skill to secure the putting contest title.
- Raffle: There were nine raffle prizes donated by generous sponsors. The top prize was a foursome at both Meadowlark Hills and Kearney Country Club, including a stay at the Holiday Inn in Kearney, won by Kim Geiser. Brian Hiebner took home the second prize, a $500 gift certificate to Wild Horse Golf Club in Gothenburg, NE.
In addition to traditional golf play, participants enjoyed unique on-course games such as Roll the Dice and even the use of a “grenade ball” to improve their score.
“We’re so grateful for the continuous support from our communities, donors, sponsors, and of course our volunteers,” said Carli Reiners, HHCF Executive Director. “Events like this are a powerful reminder of how much people care about ensuring quality healthcare close to home.”
HHCF extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who made the day possible. Plans are already underway for next year’s tournaments in both Sutton and Henderson.
