It was back-to-school day on Thursday, August 13, for the Heartland Community School District. Students were greeted by administrators and teachers on a beautiful morning outside Heartland, and, of course, plenty of photos were taken in front of the Welcome to Heartland sign!
Progress continues on the new playground, which should be completed in a few weeks for the Heartland elementary kids to enjoy.
The annual “Prayer at the Playground” was held at 8:15 a.m., with about a dozen showing up to pray for the students and staff for the upcoming school year.
