H&H Bearcat Jr. High Track & Field Invite at Heartland Results

It’s been a busy week for track, with H&H hosting both the high school and junior high meets on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively!

The Bearcat junior high track team had a bit of a breezy, hot day on Thursday for the H&H Invite at the Heartland track. The boys had an outstanding day, winning the meet and piling up six first-place finishes for a total of 122.5 points. The girls placed third overall with 56 points and had one first-place finish from Keely Burgess in the 400 M run.

TEAM STANDINGS

BOYS TOP FINISHES: Micah Haidle finished first in the 400 M run with a 1:01.05 and won the high jump going 5’2″. Right behind him in the high jump were Leo Goertzen and Amari Palmer jumping 5’0″. Jackson Allgood won the gold in the pole vault at 8′. Grayson Rojewski finished the day with three first places in the 100 M hurdles (16:42), 200 M hurdles (31.51), and won the long jump at 17’0″. David Jahnke came in a close second behind Rojewski in the 200 M hurdles at 34.71. The boys placed third in the 4 x 100 M relay (55.23), and second in the 4 x 400 M relay (4:22.38) and 4 x 800 M relay (11:12.21). Jax Bergen placed second in the shot put with a 35’8″ throw.

GIRLS TOP FINISHES: Keely Burgess won first place in the 400 M run at 1:06.64, Scarlett Farrall placed second in the pole vault, going 6’0″, and Brynleigh Scheidemann placed third in the shot put, throwing 26’7″. Maylie Friesen placed 4th in the 800 M run (2:54.68), and Kenley Ferguson was fourth in the 1600 M run at 6:42.64. The girls placed second in the 4 x 100 M relay (58.22), third in the 4 x 400 relay (4:54.58), and third in the 4 x 800 M relay (12:55.46).
