It was a fantastic weekend celebrating HENDE 365 Community Days! Here are the results from the competitive events that were held.

There’s nothing like pizza baked on a wood-fired stove! But even better is pizza baked in the Heritage Park’s Russian outdoor oven. You won’t want to miss this event at the Henderson Mennonite Heritage Park on Sunday, July 23, from 5 - 7 PM.

Thane Wetjen, a Heartland junior, has the buzz for bees. He first got interested in raising his own bees after talking with Heartland 2022 graduate Carson Ott. Ott received a scholarship to start his bee business through the Nebraska Beekeepers Association by writing an essay about how to save the bees a few years back.

At 3:41 p.m., Friday, York County Sheriff Paul Vrbka confirmed a 33-year-old woman from Lincoln died from her injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 81 and West Fourth Street, on the west side of York, which occurred shortly before 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 3.
