It’s time for the Mustang Roundup in McCool this upcoming weekend, featuring plenty of activities for everyone!
The fire department will hold its 3rd annual Ribfest on Saturday, September 20, at 5 p.m. It’s an “all you can eat” event with free-will donations accepted to support the McCool Fire Department.
The following is a list of activities and events for all ages:
Friday, Sept. 19
3 p.m., high school football game
5 p.m., fried chicken dinner sponsored by the Depot
Saturday, Sept. 20
8 a.m., Pour House Coffee Cart and Daylight Donuts
10 a.m., parade on main street, line up starts at 9 a.m. at the school
11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Church Ladies Lunch inside town hall
11 a.m. to 1 p.m., food trucks
11 a.m. to 4 p.m., kids’ inflatables in the village green
11 a.m., 5K Fun Run
Noon to 2 p.m., dunk booth
1:30 p.m., water balloon fights for kids
All day golf around town. Sign up at Bryan Christian’s
2 p.m., corn hole tournament
Beer garden opens following parade, continues through street dance, sponsored by Sons of the American Legion
2:30 p.m., Husker Tailgate in the beer garden
4-5 p.m., dodge ball at the school, sponsored by the McCool Booster Club
5 p.m., third annual Ribfest Cook-off, in the downtown area
6 p.m. to midnight, street dance, featuring The Drew Phillips Band with Brandon Logston prior, downtown, sponsored by the McCool Fire Department, Sons of the American Legion and the McCool Community Club

9-11:30 a.m., pancake feed at town hall
1:30 p.m., duck race at Camp Kateri bridge
2 p.m., McCool youth football game
