Heartland Community School release
The Heartland quiz bowl team traveled to Seward on September 30th to participate in the 23rd Women’s Quiz Bowl competition. Due to a schedule conflict, instead of a full team of four members, Heartland was a dynamic duo.
The morning started with victories over Fullerton, McCool Junction and Dorchester. With a record of 3-0, the team earned the number three seed for the afternoon single-elimination tournament.
The match was a rematch with the team from Fullerton. Unfortunately, after a long deliberation and an unsuccessful challenge, the Huskies ended the day with a 3-1 record.
The next competition is the History/Geography contest held on October 7th in Seward.
