There was a good crowd on hand for the Huskies’ first home football game of the season, with perfect weather for football under the lights!

It was a tough opening night for the Huskies, as they lost to the Thayer-Central Titans, who finished 7-3 last year. In the third quarter, the Huskies put some points on the board after they were able to recover a fumbled kickoff by the Titans. Nevada Gloystein ran it in for the TD for the Huskies’ first score, but they were unable to convert for the extra two points. Gloystein scored the other TD for the Huskies in the fourth quarter when he ran it 46 yards for the score. This time, the Huskies converted for the two points on a run by River Glinsmann.

The Huskies will travel to Sutton for their next game on Friday, September 5.
