The Bearcats had a busy week competing in two events despite some extreme heat. They hosted a nine-hole dual with EMF on Tuesday and traveled to Fox Hollow Golf Course in Sutton on Thursday for the Sutton Filly Family Fall Classic.
BEARCATS vs. EMF DUAL RESULTS
It was a tough day weather-wise for both teams, teeing off at 4 p.m. in the 90-degree-plus heat on Tuesday at Galaway Creek Golf Course. Exeter-Milligan-Friend made the best of it with six players placing. The low round of the day was carded by EMF Senior Abby Klooz with a 49. Tara Buzek was the top golfer for the Bearcats with a 55, placing 7th.
SUTTON FALL CLASSIC RESULTS
There were eight teams competing at the Sutton Filly Family Fall Classic: BDS, Doniphan-Trubull, Fullerton, H&H, Sandy Creek, Shelby-Rising City, Sutton, and Tri County. Sutton took advantage of their home course and won as a team with a 383. Sutton’s Shepleigh Ohrt shot an 87 for first place.
