The sky was lit up Saturday night at Lakeview Park for a wonderful fireworks show sponsored by the City of Henderson!
Another fantastic Henderson Community Days wound down after three days of jam-packed fun activities. Hats off to the Henderson Chamber of Commerce Community Days Committee and Director Nicole Mierau for doing a “bang-up” job this year! A good time was had by all if you attended any of the events over the weekend. The City of Henderson, as always, provided the best fireworks show on Saturday evening, enjoyed by hundreds gathered in Lakeview Park at dusk.
Make sure to give a thank you to this year’s Community Days committee members: Angie Allgood, April Prusia, Bev Quiring, Cody Brown, Jaydon Janzen, Joanne Friesen, Judy Epp, Kelsey Goetzen, Lou Obrinsky, Geoff Rose, Shelby Hurlbut, Sydney Fochtman, Trent Linabery, and Zach Richert.

Friday night ‘Rock the Block’ Fun

Saturday morning Pancake Feed at the Heritage Park and the Stars, Stripes & Stars Parade

The downtown park was the place to find lots of food over the weekend, and CVA was serving up free hot dogs on Saturday at their facility!

Bouncy houses, rock climbing wall, bungee jumping, and vendors in the park were popular stops on Saturday!

The RockiT Choo Choo train was a favorite for the littles who got a ride around the block!

The annual Glowball Golf Tournament was well attended on Friday night with 36 teams participating! The weather was perfect, and the glow-in-the-dark balls were flying around Galaway Creek Golf Course late into the night!
The Heartland gym was busy on Saturday morning as two alumni basketball teams battled. Live music was provided by “Mohanna with Red Shoes” on Saturday night during the hamburger feed. The York County Sheriff’s Department showed up to join the fun, and a few babies slept through the parade!

More results will be posted for the Galaway Creek Golf Scramble, which was played on Sunday.

There were four teams that competed in the puzzle contest at Dutch Kitchen. They were given two hours to put together a 500-piece puzzle. The winning team was Corianne Hiebner, Mia Hiebner, Amanda Hiebner, and Jade Martina, finishing in 37 minutes!
