Seven Bearcats Headed to STATE!
The H&H Bearcats had their C-7 District Track & Field meet on Thursday at Sandy Creek. It was a very windy day for the field events, but Maddox Regier came home with the gold, winning the high jump, going 6’0, automatically qualifying him for State. The boys’ 4 x800 M relay will also be going to state, as will Trenton Goertzen in the 1600 M run and Tara Buzek in the 800 M run. The Bearcats boys place 5th overall in the team rankings.


STATE QUALIFIERS:
High Jump (6’0″) — Maddox Regier
4 x 800 M Relay (8:25.89) — Trenton Goertzen, Mason Wiens, Brooks Burgess, Holden Switzer
800 M Run (2:27.33) — Tara Buzek
1600 M Run (4:46.24) — Trenton Goertzen
The State Track meet will be held for Class C beginning on Friday, May 22, with Maddox Regier competing in the high jump at 9:30 AM, and the 4 x 800 M Relay at 1:30 p.m. On Saturday, Tara Buzek will run the 800 M at 1:30 PM, and Trenton Goertzen will run the 1600 M at 4:05 PM.
