Heartland Community School Press Release

Take a look at these worthy holiday service projects sponsored by Heartland’s NHS (National Honor Society), FFA (Future Farmers of America), and FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America).

The NHS, FFA, and FBLA chapters at Heartland are teaming up to support our holiday service projects.  In addition to the usual food drive and the more recently added toy drive to support the Children’s Hospital in Omaha, we have developed a new project, “Socks for Seniors,” focusing on the residents of Legacy Square.

Instead of Caroling for Cans this year, we are encouraging community members and students to donate by bringing them to school or to upcoming school activities, such as basketball games and music concerts.

Check out these three holiday service projects below:

CHRISTMAS TOY DRIVE

FOOD DRIVE

McLean Beef in York has graciously donated boxes for us to use to deliver food items to local families.  This will eliminate the cost of the totes we usually purchase and allow us to buy more goods to be distributed.  Please consider supporting them and thanking them for their donation to our project!
