The H&H Bearcats played in Geneva on Tuesday night against Fillmore Central and at home at Heartland on Thursday night in a triangular with Cross County and High Plains. Here are the results from both nights the Bearcats were in action.
The Bearcats lost 0-3 to the Fillmore Central Panthers in Geneva on Tuesday night.
H&H BEARCAT STATS vs. FILLMORE CENTRAL
Riley Quiring led the team with seven kills, and Sophie Schulze had five. Katelyn Farrall, Ava Hurt, and Sophie Minary each had one ace serve. Ava Hurt had 14 assists, and Jaylah Gross had 27 digs for the Bearcats.
TRIANGULAR RESULTS AT HEARTLAND THURSDAY
On Thursday night, the Bearcats hosted a triangular at Heartland against High Plains and Cross County. The Bearcats battled the Cougars in their first match of the triangular and lost both sets (18-25 and 19-25).
The Bearcats had a very close and long match against High Plains and lost 1-2 (23-25, 29-27, and 18-25). The second set was a thriller with the lead changing multiple times, but the Bearcats prevailed, winning after scoring a big 29 points! In the third set, they kept it close early but fell behind and struggled to catch up to the Storm.
Cross County was the winner for the night, with their win against H&H and High Plains 2-0 (25-10, 25-12).
