The H&H Bearcat Jr. High volleyball team has been practicing for several weeks and will begin its season today at 4:30 p.m. against BDS (Bruning-Davenport-Schickley) in Schickley. There are 27 girls on the team with plenty of experienced coaches on board. Head coach Diane Torson, a Hampton High School teacher, retired as the head high school volleyball coach after 36 seasons in 2022. She will be assisted by Christine Quiring and Heartland’s former Jr. High VB coach Carrie Regier. Violet Goertzen is the student manager.
