It was a great wrap-up for the Heartland track team’s season at the State Track Meet in Omaha this past Friday and Saturday. The weather was nearly perfect, with warmer temperatures and little wind making for record times and elevated competition.

“Heartland had a successful trip to Omaha to compete in the State Track and Field meet. It started off with Mariah Tessman, a three-time state qualifier, clearing 9’6″ and placing 3rd,” said Coach Christa Lindsay. Winning it was Kaylee Pribyl from Meridian with a vault of 11’, and taking the silver was Janna Roberts of Oceola at 10’6”.
