Heartland Fall Sports Seasons Underway

Girls Golf
The Heartland Girls Golf Team was scheduled to have a meet in Grand Island today, but it was cancelled due to the rain.

Volleyball
On August 26, Heartland played in a triangular losing to Palmer (1-2) and Osceola (1-2). Two days later, they played in a tournament falling to Shelton (0-2), winning over Hitchcock (2-0), and losing to St. Patrick’s (0-2).

Tonight the Huskies will play away at Wilber-Clatonia hoping to improve their 1-4 early season record.

Football
Heartland played Giltner last Friday with a sweeping victory. The game was drawn out due to lightening, but the Huskies ended with a 52-14 win over the Hornets. Highlights included Trev Peters passing with 135 yards and two touchdowns. Kale Wetjen had 14 carries for 199 yards and two receptions for 60 yards. Along with a fumble recovery, he totaled six touchdowns. Dawson Ohrt contributed 10 solo tackles and nine assists to the team.

Tomorrow night, the Huskie Football Team will travel to play at Madison.
