The Heartland Girls Golf Team was scheduled to have a meet in Grand Island today, but it was cancelled due to the rain.
On August 26, Heartland played in a triangular losing to Palmer (1-2) and Osceola (1-2). Two days later, they played in a tournament falling to Shelton (0-2), winning over Hitchcock (2-0), and losing to St. Patrick’s (0-2).
Tonight the Huskies will play away at Wilber-Clatonia hoping to improve their 1-4 early season record.
Heartland played Giltner last Friday with a sweeping victory. The game was drawn out due to lightening, but the Huskies ended with a 52-14 win over the Hornets. Along with a fumble recovery, he totaled six touchdowns. Dawson Ohrt contributed 10 solo tackles and nine assists to the team.
