The first ever Country School Picnic event was held out at the Heritage Park on Sunday afternoon and enjoyed by about 50 people attending.  It was fun to see some “folks” who probably haven’t picked up a bat for many years give it a swing during the softball game. Other games enjoyed by those attending were the clothes pin drop, slipper kick and Ani-I-Over. A wonderful picnic potluck meal was served in the barn and eaten in the shade outside. This event was sponsored by the Henderson Heritage & Tourism Committee.
