Boys Basketball: Second Quarter Slips Away from Huskies [STATS] [PHOTOS]

| January 8, 2012 | 0 Comments

The Huskies came out fighting against the Cross County Cougars last night.  They played hard defensively and stuck with the Cougars through the first quarter.  However, the game slipped away from the Huskies in the second quarter and, although, they fought back hard in the second half, the Huskies could not make up the deficit as they fell to the Cougars, 28-45.

Freshman, Jordan Heinrichs worked hard offensively scoring team high, 14 points.  Heinrichs hit some threes and the team worked hard defensively causing some turnovers and hitting the boards for rebounds.  This just was not enough to pull out a win.

The team will be back at it Tuesday night at home against Superior where they will try to earn a ‘W’.  If you can not make the game, you can watch it LIVE Streamed on HeartlandBeat.com and view it on the Huskie Sports Network.
