The Nebraska State Patrol arrested two people after a pursuit that started on Interstate 80 near Lincoln on Monday.
At about 10:45 p.m., a trooper saw a Lincoln Town Car going nearly 100 mph west on I-80 near Lincoln, according to a news release.
The trooper attempted to pull over the car near mile marker 405 at U.S. 77. The driver briefly pulled over, but as the trooper contacted the driver, the driver fled west on I-80.
Troopers used stop sticks at mile marker 401, near the I-180 exit, causing a tire to deflate. But the driver continued driving west, reaching speeds up to 105 mph, the State Patrol said.
When the driver reached York County, a trooper used their vehicle to bring the car to a stop. The driver and a passenger were arrested without further incident.
The driver, Alex Ignowski, 23, of Omaha, was arrested on suspicion of flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, driving during revocation, possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The passenger, Harley Huckeby, 25, of Omaha, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ignowski was taken to the Lancaster County jail. Huckeby was lodged in the Seward County Jail.
Troopers also recovered a bag that was thrown from the car during the pursuit near mile marker 386 that contained 1.5 ounces of marijuana, the State Patrol said.
