York County Sheriff’s Dept. Releases Information About Head-on Collision South of Henderson

On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, York County Emergency Communications received a 911 call shortly before 4:00 p.m. reporting a two-vehicle head-on collision near County Road B and County Road 2, south of Henderson, Nebraska.

The crash investigation determined that a southbound passenger car crossed the center line in front of a northbound semi-truck, resulting in the collision. Both vehicles left the roadway, with the passenger car coming to rest in the ditch and the semi coming to rest in a nearby field, where it caught fire.

The male driver of the semi-truck was transported to the hospital with suspected minor injuries. The male driver of the passenger car was transported by helicopter to a trauma center with serious injuries.

The driver of the semi-truck was identified as Clayton Roberts, of Sutton, Nebraska.

The driver of the passenger car was identified as Evan King II, of Hastings, Nebraska.
