York County Elections Filings Continuing

YORK COUNTY – A few more election filings have taken place in York County in the last few days.

​York County Clerk Mary Melby and York County Treasurer Megan Williams have filed to seek reelection to their current positions.
Incumbents seeking county, city or school board seats must file by Feb. 17 and non-incumbents must file by March 2.

Candidates for village board seats will see their deadlines arrive this summer, although they can file now if they so choose.

Other candidates who have filed as candidates for the Primary Election have been Sharilyn Steube for clerk of the district court; Josh Gillespie for sheriff; Alysia Clark, Matthew Clark and Krystal Rasmussen for McCool School Board; Alison North, Pepper Papinau and Alex Hildebrand for York School Board; Stephen Postier for York City Council; Jordan Hiebner for Henderson City Council.

Don Copeland and Rick Pfeifer have filed to run for their seats on the Waco Village Board. Sandra Browitt filed to run for the McCool Village Board. Dustin Drake filed to fun for Thayer Village Board.

Filings can be accomplished at the election/clerk’s office at the York County Courthouse.
