The Bearcats ended their season, losing to Alma, the number one seed, 65-40 in Alma on Tuesday night. The Bearcats were looking good in the first quarter, leading by three after Trenton Goertzen banked in a three at the end of the quarter. The game was still close with the Bearcats trailing 27-24 at halftime.
Maddox Regier fired up a three-pointer to open up the third quarter, tying the game at 27-27, but it was all Cardinals for the rest of the game. The Bearcats were plagued with turnovers in the second half and couldn’t get any offense going. The Bearcats end their season with an 8-15 record, and the Cardinals, 24-1, will play the Sutton Mustangs on Thursday.
