It was especially meaningful for this year’s Henderson Heritage & Tourism annual appreciation dinner. For the first time, it was held at their newly completed Gathering Room at the Heritage Park on Sunday, February 22.

There were 59 who attended the dinner, and according to HHTC president Suzanne Ratzlaff, that’s the largest number they’ve ever had.

Vice President Byron Friesen served as MC and gave a thorough report on many of the completed projects from 2025. He also thanked, named, and described the many volunteers who have contributed to the park in various ways.

A delicious roast beef & chicken meal was catered by Dutch Kitchen and enjoyed by all. Ratzlaff led the group in a fun Mennonite trivia game and thanked those in attendance, saying,” It takes a village to keep the Heritage Park going.”
