Mia Hiebner turned in another stellar round in Fairbury just two days after her win on Saturday at Friend. Tara Buzek had a great round, placing fifth!
It was all Mia Hiebner yesterday at the Fairbury Invite, where she scored a 78 (39-39) to win first place. The next closest score was a 91 from Blair Briggs from Seward. Tara Buzek shot a 99 (49-50), placing fifth overall, and the team achieved its best finish of the season, finishing third with a 443. Meggan Friesen shot a 131 (69-62), Haley Beck 135 (67-68), and Kinsley Friesen 139 (69-70).
“The weather was perfect for golf. The girls were going into their 4th meet in seven days, so they were a bit tired. I’m very pleased with how they competed and came away with a third-place finish. All the girls have made progress since the beginning of the season, and it showed at the meet,” said Coach Chad Buzek.
