Heartland Community School Press Release
The Heartland Quiz Bowl teams competed at the Literature Quiz Bowl competition in Seward on Wednesday. The two teams finished the morning rounds seeded #8 and #9 after the B team went 2-1 and the A team went 1-2. Unfortunately this resulted in the Heartland teams playing each other in the single elimination tournament.
The A team defeated the B team, and the B team finished the day with a 2-2 record. The A team then faced the top-seeded team from Nebraska Lutheran and defeated them 85-55. The next opponent was from Howells-Dodge, and the Huskies came out on top 50-30.
The championship match pitted the Heartland team against the Hawks from Hampton. It was an exciting match with the Heartland team coming out on top 65-35. It was a great start to the 2025-2026 season.
