Dirt track racing fans will be happy to hear that Saturday night racing at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction will continue for the 2024 racing season!

Prowler Chassis by Wulf, out of Burr Oak, Kansas, has announced that they will be operating Junction Motor Speedway for the 2024 season. Here is what they announced on their Facebook page:

We at Prowler Chassis would like to announce that we will be operating Junction Motor Speedway for the 2024 season. Please stay tuned for updates, schedules, and classes to be announced very soon. We are planning to continue to run on Saturday nights throughout the summer. Thank you, and we hope you will join us on this new venture.

Randy Wulf, who co-owns Prowler Chassis by Wulf with his brother Chad, builds chassis and budget race body packages. He was recently featured on the Front Stretch podcast and reported more details about their new contract with Junction Motor Speedway.

Junction Motor Speedway is owned by Delmar Friesen and he has had the speedway for sale for the past three years. It is currently listed for sale at National Land Realty. Wulf negotiated a deal with Friesen not to purchase the property but to take over operating the speedway.

He plans to offer IMCA (International Motor Contest Association) sanctioned events just like in the past at the speedway with Sport Compact, Hobby Stock, and Sport Mods classes.

His first priority will be addressing the dirt track’s condition and ensuring it is in good shape for the upcoming season. Wulf has experience with dirt track prep at the former Red Cloud Speedway and will have others helping him restore the track’s surface.

He plans on running a full season featuring around 18-20 events as well as some additional special events like a Sprint Car Series on other nights.

The full schedule will be available in early 2024 but Wulf expects the season to kickoff near the end of April and continue through August.
