It wasn’t exactly how the Huskie Volleyball team planned to end their season last night, but they faced a very good Exeter-Milligan team that got in their way. The Huskies came into to the game with a 17-9 record and playing very well despite the last two losses to Milford and Thayer Central in the SNC tournament. However, the TimberWolves of Exeter-Milligan with a 24-4 record, proved to be a test for this Huskie team as they came out very strong and winning the 1st set 22-25. The Huskies wouldn’t give up as they battled back and forth throughout the 2nd set but were unable to finish the set and lost 20-25. With the season on the line for the Huskies they did everything they could but the third set was more of the same as Exeter-Milligan served the ball really well and forced the Huskies into situations they hadn’t often seen this season.  The Timberwolves advanced by beating the Huskies 0-3. They will play BDS tonight at 7pm at Thayer Central.

The Huskies should be very proud of their accomplishments this season. They had another outstanding year ending with a 17-10 record.  The competition was tough throughout as they faced the #1 ranked team in Class C-2 and several contenders and ranked teams in Classes C-1, C-2, D-1 & D-2. Congratulations to the Huskie Volleyball team and thanks to all of the Seniors for your hardwork, we enjoyed watching you all season long!
