Here is a recap of the December 2011 Bradshaw Beat Newsletter:

  • Annual Children’s Christmas Party at the Bradshaw Community Center on Friday, December 16 at 6:30 p.m. Everybody is welcome! There will be gifts, prizes, treats, and refreshments. (Santa will be there!)
  • Annual Lighting Contest – No registration necessary; put up a string of lights and you’re in the competition! Cash prizes will be awarded at the annual Christmas party held Friday, December 17th. You need to be present to win.  Last year’s winners were Paul and Diane Brune, Don and Sonya Burgener and Bill and Elnora Troutman.  Judges from out of town will be driving around town the week before Christmas party looking for the outstanding displays. Plan your display now.
  • Donations Requested – We have already received the first donation. We’re looking for your support of this enjoyable project. The gifts of cash or prizes are only used for the presents for the children. All other costs of the annual Christmas party are authorized by the village board of trustees. Leave your donation at the village office or with any of the board members; Don Burgener, Oscar Eaton, Jim Gordan, Charles Nichols or Terry Werth.
  • The United Methodist Church invites you to join in the celebration of the Christmas season. They will be hosting a community pot-luck Christmas Dinner on Sunday, December 11 at 12:30 in the church Fellowship Hall. Everyone is invited. Meat, rolls, beverage and table services will be provided. Candlelight Christmas Eve service will be held December 24 at 6:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church. Join us as we listen to the story of Jesus birth found in scripture. Share in singing traditional carols and experience the glow of God’s love in the light of the candles. Everyone is welcome.
