Heartland senior and NHS member Mia Hiebner reads to elementary students as part of ‘Read Across America’ week.
As part of Read Across America Week, the NHS students went into all PK-6 grade classrooms to read books and do extension activities with the students on Monday.

“This is a yearly event that we all look forward to every year as a way to promote literacy and bring our PK-12 students together. Throughout the week, we have dress-up days scheduled to celebrate Read Across America week,” said Heartland Elementary principal Dana Reinke
