H&H Bearcat Girls & Boys BB Lose to Centennial on Tuesday

The H&H Bearcat girls and boys traveled to compete against the Centennial Broncos on Tuesday, with the Broncos winning both games. The girls lost 50-27, and the boys lost a close one 68-65. Sophie Minary led the girls in scoring with 10 points. The Bearcats couldn’t generate enough offense against the Broncos until the second quarter, when they scored 11 points and went into halftime down by only five points. The Broncos had nine players score, led by Marley Olsen with 13.

The Bearcat boys looked like they would have no trouble dominating the 1-16 Broncoe in the first quarter, behind the hot shooting of Junior Maddox Regier, who scored 31 points for the Bearcats.

Going into halftime, the Bearcats led 34-26, but their lead dwindled to one point by the end of the third quarter. The fourth quarter was a back-and-forth battle, with the Broncos closing out the game by making their free throws to win by three points. They were led in scoring by junior Owen Nabor with 25 points.

Leading the team in rebounds was Jagger Regier with 6, Wyatt Dose and Landen Rojewski with 5 each.
