The first year for the new H&H Bearcat volleyball team came to a close on Monday at the C2-3 Subdistrict volleyball tournament in Hebron. They lost three straight to the third-ranked Shelby-Rising City Huskies.

The Bearcats finished their season with a 4-25 record. Coach Kayla Gaughan had this to say about the season-

“This season wasn’t defined by our record. It was defined by the way we showed up to practice every single day and continued to work at it. It was defined by the way we encouraged each other after a tough game or a missed play. I hope they all found new friendships and a want to continue to play volleyball. I saw a group of girls who stuck together through one challenging season. There were times this year when it would have been easier to give up, to walk away, or to stop pushing. But we never did. I am so proud of them!”

“I want to give a special thank you to our Seniors. They will be missed, and we wish them the very best.”
