The first H&H Bearcat Jr. High football team will begin its season next Monday, September 8, against Lawrence/Nelson. Heartland’s junior high teacher, Les Reinke, is the head coach and is assisted by Eric Allgood and Austin Helzer.
“We’ve got a good mix of size and speed. This group played together as the first combined team for youth football for the last 2 years, which really was the catalyst to getting the whole coop going for the schools,” said Assistant Coach Allgood.
