It was a “huge win” according to Coach Jones, beating the #4 team in the state in Hampton on Friday night. Pawnee City hadn’t lost since 2023 and had won 21 straight regular-season games, with its last regular-season loss in 2022.

“We did an outstanding job on defense with team tackling, setting edges, and pursuing. We also had a huge kick return for a touchdown. On offense, we struggled to run the ball, but our senior QB Wyatt Dose returned to lead us through the air with 193 yards and 2 TDs. This was a great team win and a huge step for Hampton Football,” said Coach Jones.

With this win, Hampton moved to 10th place in the Omaha World-Herald Six-Man Football rankings.
