The Henderson Baseball and Softball season has entered tournament play this week. Here are a few updates about what’s happening.
Henderson Girls Black 13 & Under:
Since the girls were undefeated this season, they came into the tournament in the #1 spot and played Sutton at home on Tuesday night. They beat Sutton 9-6 and will play in Phillips at 8 p.m. Wednesday against Hampton for the championship.
Henderson Boys Maroon 13 & Under:
The boys entered tournament play as the #3 seed with a 4-4 record. They won a close game against Harvard in Henderson on Tuesday night, winning 3-2. They will play Giltner for the championship in Hampton at 8 p.m. Harvard has beaten Henderson twice this season, so a win would be a great accomplishment!
Henderson Girls 16 & Under:
The 16U girls will play their last regular-season games tonight in Henderson in a doubleheader against David City. The games will be at 6:30 and 8 p.m. Their record is 1-9 this season and will play in the ALL-STAR game on July 15 in Henderson.
