York County Commissioners to Again Discuss Solar Zoning Regulations on Tuesday, April 2

YORK—The York County Commissioners will again discuss solar project zoning regulations when they meet in regular session Tuesday morning, April 2. 

The purpose will be to “discuss and act on zoning regulations proposed to forward for adoption.”

A public hearing on the matter has not yet been scheduled, although it will likely happen in the next few weeks.

The public hearing will be held in a larger venue than the commissioners’ meeting room, as the attendance is expected to be substantial.

Also on Tuesday’s regular agenda:

The board will consider the salary for the deputy York County District Court Clerk. This is being considered as the personnel in that position is changing. They will meet with Elaine Menzel from the Nebraska Association of County Officials (NACO). An agreement with the Lancaster County Youth Center will be considered as it pertains to juvenile detention services.

A motor vehicle tax exemption application from York General will be considered for a Chevrolet SUV.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, which will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the commissioners’ meeting room.
