It was a wet, slippery night to play football in Geneva on Friday for the matchup between the Panthers and the Bearcats. The Panthers scored first in a back-and-forth first half, but the Bearcats tied it up in the final seconds before halftime with a TD by Mason Weins.
The Bearcats couldn’t get anything going offensively in the second half while the Panthers scored two more TDs.
Coach Jones: “This was a physical game in wet conditions. Our defense played really well, we just couldn’t get our offense moving consistently and they hit a nice trick play on us to take the lead. We made a lot of good plays throughout the night, we just need to string everything together and play a complete game.”
With the win, the Panthers improve their record to 4-1, and the Bearcats are 1-4 for the season. They will face off against the Malcolm Clippers on Friday, October 2nd, at home.
