PLEASANT DALE, Neb. – The Graze Master Group is pleased to share that its co-founder, Del Ficke, has published a photography book, “And Nature Happened.” The artistic work shares photos of the land he has regenerated and also nature scenes he has documented in his travels across the United States and the world.
In addition to his role with the Graze Master Group, Ficke also founded Nebraska’s Son Booksand owns and operates Ficke Cattle Company – Graze Master Genetics®. With more than 40 years of experience as both an agriculturist and cattleman, and now an author and photographer, he has developed a one-of-a-kind trademarked breed of composite cattle, the Graze Master, and is passionate about changing society for the better from the soil up.
“I have spent the last several years transitioning my farming operation back to what we call, a more holistic, sensible, and profitable approach that is both modern and historically based in both concept and philosophy,” Ficke explained. “We have restored the soils to their more natural state and transformed commodity-driven cropland back into native pastures as well as adopted a mob-grazing approach to cattle raising.”
Ficke has sold cattle genetics as well as consulted throughout the nation and internationally. “We are driven by results and serving thousands of clients and have a 99 percent success rate in improving agricultural businesses – from increasing profitability to successfully implementing regenerative practices.”
Today, Ficke’s primary passion is sharing his story through his book, “And Nature Happened,” and the continued hope that there is a way to farm and ranch profitably while balancing nature. “My intent is to give us all permission to pursue the beauty of our unique potential where it was truly meant to bloom.”
