An Alzheimer’s Awareness Event will be hosted at Saturday’s H&H Bearcats Basketball games on the 31st of January, starting at 2 pm at Heartland Community Schools.
The event is designed to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease, brain health, and the importance of early detection. The event hopes to share information and raise money to help fund the research for a cure.
The event is being planned by Kate Haidle, Ashlyn Friesen, and Julia Tessman, all members of the Heartland FBLA club. They will be setting up a raffle to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association.
Raffle items include: 10 lbs of ground beef from Henderson Meat Processors, a $50 Amazon gift card, an electronic mini basketball hoop, a Henderson Pool Pass, and more! Raffle tickets will cost $2 for one ticket, or $5 for three tickets. Prizes will be drawn during halftime of the Boys Varsity Basketball Game.
Everyone is invited to come help support those with Alzheimer’s and the Alzheimer’s Association.
