York Police Seek Information About Walmart Arson

The York Police Department is seeking information regarding the suspected arson that took place at Walmart on Sunday.

The name of the suspect is William Regan Young Eckman, a 20-year-old man. York police have urged people to come forward with any information they may have regarding interactions with Eckman at or around the time of the incident.

They are also seeking voluntary statements from people who were inside the building when the fire began and people who observed suspicious activity that may be related to the case.

The store is closed and has not yet announced when it will reopen. Curbside pickup for the pharmacy is available.

Eckman is charged with attempted first-degree arson, attempted criminal mischief of $5,000-plus, and attempted terroristic threats. His bond is 10% of $25,000.
