The Bearcats had two away matches this week and came home with one loss to Centura and one win against McCool.
On Tuesday, they traveled to Cairo to face off against Centura, losing 0-3 (5-25, 12-25, 18-25).

Sophie Minary had four kills, Sophie Schulze three, and Riley Quiring two. Jaylah Gross led with 10 digs, and Ashlyn Rotter and Ava Hurt had six each. Hurt had two ace serves, and Quiring and Janzen had one each.
On Thursday, the Bearcats traveled to McCool and beat the Mustangs 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-22). It was a close match with several ties and lead changes, but the Bearcats prevailed with some solid passing and serving, coming home with a much-needed win.
“I think we got off to a slow start, but we picked it up as the sets went on. The girls show up and work hard at practice every day, and it was really great to see them get a win. They deserve to get some wins!” said Coach Gaughen.

Sophie Schulze led the team with 12 kills, and Madalyn Janzen had five. Janzen had four aces, and Jaylah Gross had three. Setter Ava Hurt recorded 22 assists. Jaylah Gross had 10 digs, Katelyn Farrall seven, Madalyn Janzen six, and Andilyn Stebbing five.
