The H&H Bearcat junior high volleyball team had a good showing last Thursday, September 4, at Schickley. The A team won 25-29 and 25-9, beating BDS. The B team won 25-12 and 25-10. The C team played one set only, losing a close one 21-25.

On Monday, September 8, the Bearcats hosted the McCool Mustangs at Hampton. The A team won 25-13 and 25-11. The B team won 25-20 and 25-14, and the C team lost 21-25.

Thursday, September 11, they traveled to Deshler to play in a triangular with Deshler and Superior. They lost to Superior 12-25 and 11-25. In the next match, they beat Deshler 25-15 and 25-6.
“The girls have improved so much since the beginning of the year. They play well as a team and very fun to watch! With the great attitudes and effort, the best is yet to come for the H&H Bearcats!” said Coach Diane Torsen.
The junior high VB team will play next on Saturday, September 13, at the Thayer Central Tournament at 9 a.m.
H&H Bearcat Junior High Football Recap
The junior high football team had a win against Lawrence-Nelson on Monday, winning 36-14. Grayson Rojewski ran for two TDs, and Micah Haidle ran for one. Lamar Gloystein and Jackson Allgood each had receiving TDs.
“Our defense played fast and tackled really well, and our passing was good despite the windy conditions,” said Assistant Coach Allgood.
Their next game is Monday, September 15, vs. Sandy Creek with a kickoff at 4 p.m. in Hampton. After the A team game is finished, the B team will play a 5th quarter.
