The 2025 Hampton football team: BR (L-R) Cason Bamesberger, Tyler Mollevik, Kyler Luebbe, Wyatt Dose, Camden Riggs, Noah Miller, Brayden Wolinski; FR (L-R): Landen Hansen, Mason Wiens, Kyler Rojewski, Landen Rojewski, Porter Dose, Bentley Hagan
The Hampton Hawks football team is excited to kick off their season with a D6 man football game this Friday night, hosting Parkview Christian.
Head Coach Jereme Jones is entering his fourth year coaching at Hampton, where he teaches English.
“We have 13 kids out this year, and it’s the lowest number since I’ve been here,” said Coach Jones. He is encouraged by the players who are returning and the leadership they’ve already shown. He will be assisted by Bo Kingery and his son Noah Jones, who is a student at UNK.
“Our goals for the year are posted in the locker room. We want to change the numbers of our last playoff appearances, playoff wins, and state championship,” he said. Hampton hadn’t been to the playoffs since 2010 before Coach Jones took over and they’ve made it to the playoffs the past three seasons.
Some key games this season will be against Stuart and Pawnee City, who were undefeated last year. Unfortunately, the regular quarterback, Wyatt Dose is out for a few games because he had surgery. He expects a few players to be able to step up and fill that position.
Hampton’s four seniors, Kyler Luebbe, Porter Dose, Wyatt Dose, and Tyler Mollevik, will be key players for the team.
