Huskies Lose Final Game of the Season to Mead Raiders

The Heartland Huskies football team lost their final game of the season Friday night at Mead 60-18. Even with the loss, Carter Siebert had an impressive night rushing for 256 yards and a TD, but it wasn’t enough. Going into halftime, the game was tied up at 18-18, but in the second half, they were held scoreless by the Raiders.

With their win, Mead broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-7. This loss ended the Huskies’ season with a final record of 0-8.

Rushing yards: Heartland – 263; Mead – 219

Passing yards: Heartland – 45; Mead – 99

INDIVIDUAL STATS:

Carter Siebert had 39 carries for 256 yards; Luis Alvarez had seven pass attempts with two completions for 45 yards; Sam Quiring had two catches for 45 yards; Nevada Gloystein had 11 tackles, Brooks Burgess – 8, and Brian Berringer – 6.
