IGNITE! Dancers Light Up Stage [VIDEO]

Students of IGNITE! Dance & Cheer of Henderson showcased their talents last weekend at the Heartland Community School theater during their 2nd annual recital, “Let’s Go to the Movies!”  All of the performances featured music from popular movie hits across the decades.  The recital started with a high-energy tap routine to “Jailhouse Rock,” and the finale ended with “You Can’t Stop the Beat,” where the dancers gave their final bows and waved to the applauding crowd of nearly 300 friends and family members.  There were lots of smiles, laughs, and fun had by all.  A video trailer of the recital was compiled by TE Productions of Grand Island.

IGNITE! offers classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop and cheer for students ages 3 and up.  A new dance schedule will be introduced during the upcoming 2011-2012 season that will include shorter mini-sessions for all age groups!  This change will be a better fit for busy families, while still providing dancers with various local performance opportunities and the chance to learn exciting routines in a positive and fun environment.

New students are currently being accepted for the 2011-2012 season!  To inquire about enrolling your child in a class this fall, please contact Kristen Friesen at (402) 723-5826 or email her at ignitedanceandcheer@hotmail.com.  Discount registration fees are available for those who enroll by May 31, 2011.  For more information about IGNITE!, check out their website at www.ignitedanceandcheer.com.
