Fillmore Central Outlasts Heartland Girls

Tough first quarter for the Huskies ends in a 28-44 loss against the Fillmore Central Panthers.  Scoring was hard to come by for the Huskies in the first eight minutes scoring only seven points opposed to the Panther’s 15 points.  The Huskies picked up the pace in the second and third quarters and seemed to stick with the Panthers.  However, the press and defense of the Panthers posed too much of a problem for the Huskies and the game slipped away from them.

The Huskies were led in scoring by Junior, Jennifer Yoder and Sophomore, Mikaelyn Dick, each scoring 10 points a piece.

The Huskies will be back on the court on Tuesday, January 18th against High Plains in Henderson and then hit the road next weekend against Centennial on Friday and Sutton on Saturday.
