Heartland played in the Southern Nebraska Conference tournament in Superior this week, losing on Monday to Sandy Creek in two sets, 21-25 and 16 -25. 

The Lady Huskies didn’t have the kind of night they would have liked for Homecoming Tuesday, October 10, on their home court. They got behind early in their 0-3 (20-25, 7-25, 17-25) loss to the David City Scouts and couldn’t recover. 

The Huskies traveled to the Giltner triangular on Tuesday, October 2, and came away with one win. They beat Giltner 2-1 (25-27, 25-20) but were defeated by Doniphan-Trumbull 2-0 (11-25, 10-25).

The Heartland Huskie volleyball team competed at the annual Hastings St. Cecila tournament in Hastings this Tuesday and Thursday, playing in a round-robin format. Unfortunately, they were winless for all of their matches, playing against some pretty tough competition with winning records.

The Heartland Huskies traveled to Wymore on Saturday, September 23, for the Southern High School volleyball tournament, competing against a few non-conference opponents. They were 1-2 for the day.

The Heartland Huskie Volleyball team had a workout this week with two matches played at home. They hosted the Hampton Hawks on Tuesday, September 19th, and lost in five sets 2-3 (25-22, 21-25, 20-25, 25-16, 9-15). On Thursday, the McCool Junction Mustangs came to town, and the Huskies swept them 3-0 (25-7, 25-23, 25-14).

The Lady Huskies got off their losing streak this week by sweeping Fillmore-Central 3-0 on Tuesday, September 12. They won 25-23, 25-20, and 25-22 on Fillmore-Central’s home court.

The Heartland Huskie volleyball team had a rough week, getting swept by both Sutton at home on Tuesday and away by Thayer-Central on Thursday night. The Huskies have lost their last seven matches and can't seem to find a way to break their losing streak.
