The Bearcat junior high track team had its first meet of the season on Thursday, April 9 at Sandy Creek. Some highlights were the girls winning the 4 x400 M relay, clocking in at 4:54.57, and placing second in the 4 x 100 M relay. Kenley Ferguson placed second in the 1600 M run with a time of 6:24.22. Brynleigh Schneidmann placed third in the shot put with a 23’10” throw, and Taylor Schmidt high jumped 4’4″ for third place.
The boys came in second in the 4 x 400 M relay at 4:25.00 and third in the 4 x 100 relay at 54.04. Grayson Rojewski captured the gold in the long jump with a 17’6″ jump, and Micah Haidle placed third in the 400 M run at 1:02.01.
The girls finished 6th overall, and the boys finished 5th.
