York County Press Release

1/19/2026 YORK – York County Assessor Kurt Bulgrin says individuals with personal property located in York County can now file their personal property returns for the 2026 assessment year.

“Please make sure to file on or before May 1 to avoid a late filing penalty,” Bulgrin says. “As a reminder, we are not sending returns in the mail this year, but returns will be emailed upon request. Also, federal depreciation worksheets will be required when filing your return this year.”

The assessor’s office has sent out postcards as reminders, which will be arriving in York County mailboxes soon (see accompanying photo of what the postcards look like).

“Options for filing your 2026 return include:

Stop by the York County Assessor’s office Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (except holidays) with your federal depreciation worksheet, and we will be happy to assist with your filing. You may email your return, schedule, and federal depreciation worksheet to tnorquest@yorkcountyne.gov.

Please remember to sign your return. You may mail your return, schedule, and federal depreciation worksheet to the York County Assessor’s Office, 510 N Lincoln Ave, York, NE  68467. Again, please remember to sign your return.

”If anyone has further questions about personal property, they can call the York County Assessor’s office at 402-362-4926, option 6.
