The Bearcats traveled to Cairo to compete against the Centura Centurians on Tuesday. The girls lost 68-11, and the boys won 77-65. The girls were unable to get any offense going against the now 13-2 Centurians, scoring only single digits in each quarter. They were led in scoring by Grace Splinter with four points.

The boys’ game was close, with the lead changing hands a few times in the first half, with the Bearcats trailing 38-31 at halftime. The Bearcats came out firing away in the third quarter, outscoring the Centurians by 15 points. They continued to put up the points in the fourth quarter to beat the Centurians, who are 0-13 after the loss. Maddox Regier led the Bearcats in scoring with 24 points, followed by Jagger Regier with 19.

The boys were led in rebounding by Holden Switzer with 6 and Landen Rojewski with 4.
On Friday, the Bearcats hosted Sandy Creek in Hampton, with the girls losing 60-26 and the boys losing 77-48.
The boys had a back-and-forth game for most of the first half, with several lead changes, and were leading by one point at the end of the first quarter. They were only behind by three points after the Cougars hit a three-pointer at the buzzer, going into half ahead 33-19 over the Bearcats. It was a different story in the second half for the Bearcats, as the Cougars took over, ahead by 20 points at the end of the third quarter.
Leading the scoring for the Bearcats was Jagger Regier with 15 and Wyatt Dose with 12. The Cougars had four players in double figures and were led in scoring by Samuel Watts with 20. The Bearcats, after the loss, are 4-9 and the Cougars 12-4.

Maddox Regier led the team with six rebounds, and Jagger Regier and Landen Rojewski each had five.
The girls faced a very tough Sandy Creek team on Friday, with only three losses so far in their season. The Bearcats had a pretty good first quarter and were only behind by three points. Unfortunately, in the second quarter, their offense was stymied by the Cougars and was outscored by 17 points. The Bearcats were led in scoring by Sophie Minary with seven points.
