On Thursday night, the Bearcats traveled to Geneva to face off against the Fillmore Central Panthers. The girls lost 63-21, and the boys lost 61-45.
The Panther girls held the Bearcats to single-digit scoring in each quarter, thanks to their smothering defense throughout most of the game. The Bearcats are 1-10 and the Panthers 6-6.

The Bearcat boys kept the first quarter close, and with several lead changes, the Panthers only led by one point at the end of the first quarter. The Bearcats suffered too many turnovers in the second quarter, allowing the Panthers to pull away. Jagger Regier banked in a jump shot before the end of the first half with the Bearcats trailing 31-19. Jagger was the leading scorer for the Bearcats and had ten of his 19 points in the first half. Turnovers continue to plague the Bearcats in the second half and the Panthers dominated off the glass to finish out the game.
